AGM weekend 2008.
Saturday 26th April. Twelve llama enthusiasts with ten llamas & their
packs gathered for two loop walks along the beach, bush and sand dunes of
Bethells Beach on Auckland's west coast. |

Penny makes sure the flaming star
saddle is securely fitted, before Clar Innis Wind Dancer is led away by
Geoff Clark. Robyn Robinson looks on. |

 |
After a brief walk through a pine
forest, we ventured onto a large sand dune which took us to a freshwater
lake just out from the bush. |
|
Being late Autumn, the lake was not
warm enough for a swim, but some of the llamas took the opportunity to
grab a drink. |

|
 |
This photo could have been taken in a
desert. The llamas traversed the scene with great interest and took it all
in stride! |
|
After a yum lunch, the group headed
along the beach. Weather was great, and the surf crashed loudly on the
shore. No llamas went swimming... |

Sunday 27th
The rain arrived today, but it didn't stop taking the opportunity to weigh
some of Penny's llamas, using portable scales. |
